October Meeting – Craft Night

Hello!  One week until our first official meeting!! Very exciting!  We’d like to remind everyone to bring their completed membership forms as membership places are limited.  If you were at the first meeting and have a membership form but can’t make the october meeting then please get in touch with Debs our membership secretary at membership.saltairewi@gmail.com.

Saltaire WI is all about inspiring and connecting the women of Saltaire, so for our first meeting we’re aiming to do both!  We’ll provide the experts, instructions and equipment for you to try your hand at one of a choice of projects: you provide the conversation as we get to know each other a bit better at the same time.

Projects on offer will include knitting, crochet, sewing and paper crafts.  All the projects will be suitable for beginners, but can be extended if you already have experience.  If you’re currently working on something of your  own, why not bring it along to inspire the rest of us?  There will be no additional charge for the equipment.  Guests are welcome at a cost of £3.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
The crafts we are planning (but are dependant on numbers) are:
Fabric corsage (Philippa) – simple hand sewing
Cupcake cushion (Fiz) – simple sewing and decoration
Knitting (Elisabeth) – learn to knit
Crochet (Debbie) – learn to crochet
Card making (Andrea)
Origami (Elspeth) – making a flower ball
